Posting with a Naruto icon! Edgy!

You're getting angry fans all over your ass, so here's me saying I agree. It may just be me being sixteen here, but I expect adults to have more interesting, more productive things to do than slash 12-year-old boys together.

I watched Avatar up until I saw the sometimes clunky dialogue and voice acting and my sisters really getting into it and I realized that maybe I was outgrowing it. :O

Wow, just because a person is a fan of something that is outside their demographic does not mean they aren't being productive. Fandom is a hobby, it is something people do for fun, and despite popular belief, adults still want to have fun. And for some people watching and liking Avatar is fun. It does not mean they are sick freaks.

In fact most of the older Avatar fan watches the show with their kids, and they enjoy it. There is no law that says that young adult literature and media can't be enjoyed by more than just a specific demographic.

Heh. Ain't it cute when teens try to act "older"? Like when 14-year-olds curse constantly and think it makes them sound mature or something.

Word to what you said. Honestly, I didn't want to touch Avatar until a college buddy handed me the first season. It's been amazing ever since. No more clunky dialogue than I'd expect from any other show, geared at any other audience. And, c'mon, in "Day of Black Sun" they basically recreated Normandy!

Maybe it's that these young whippersnappers who didn't grow up on Animaniacs and Batman:TAS don't realize that just because something is child-appropriate doesn't make it childish. Good, not-forced-down-to-"kiddie-level" writing will win out every time.

I expect adults to have more interesting, more productive things to do than slash 12-year-old boys together.

A) I think most of the crazy shippers tend to be teens.
B) Sorry, no. Hate to bust your bubble, but we really don't.

You know, I think you might be my new favorite person.

Word.

Honestly Batman:TAS and Animaniacs were two of the most intelligent tv shows on during that time, despite being aired during a kid friendly time slot.

My 40-something BOSS watches Avatar with his kids and gets a kick out of it. I had some doodles of it in my sketchbook during my job interview and he immediately recognized it. The best part was when I heard him gasp when he saw it and a look of "Dude! Avatar! That's so awesome."

All right if you're sixteen (a bit above the target age range for both series), don't you have something more productive to do? Like your homework or something?

Fortunately, now that I'm an adult, I don't have to give a shit about what people think of me for liking quality entertainment, regardless of what demographic it's being marketed for.

I'm sure when you get there, you'll enjoy it too.
