I've read a lot of Darren Shan books, including his titular series (which I love) and The Thin Executioner (Which is unusually run of the mill and standard shit).

I've also read The first book of the Demonata series, and it was...kind of hokey. Too violent just for violence's sake. I haven't read Zom-B yet.

I read all of Cirque du Freak and the first 4 or 5 Demonata books. Such a good series, but it gets more and more disturbing. o.O;
