But whhhhhy? The female character looks like she's cosplaying...it's bizarre.

To make it worse, the Untamed classes are gender-specific. Venomancers are always female and Barbarians are always male. Venomancers are recommended as the class best-suited to playing on your own, so you're stuck with little miss fox-ears if you don't have guildies or friends in the game.
