I used to love the Dresden files until my girlfriend made me question some of the more misogynistic elements, so now I just can stomach it. Was a shame, I got quite far into the series and I loved the audio books, but now just thinking about it makes me feel nauseous and anxious.

i had the same problem with the discworld series, but it wasn't my bf who persuaded me, it was actually a fandom secrets comment.
