Really? You don't know your mom's eye color?

I notice brown eyes because I find brown eyes attractive. Next, I notice striking eye colors like very light grey, blue or green on a darker skinned person. But, in between blues and greens I don't really notice at all.

same here. i do notice if they have "light" eyes or "dark" eyes but i'm rarely going to get my face close enough to their face to notice specific colors

Yeah, I find that one just a bit odd too - I know all my family's eye colours, I just don't really pay attention to it in random folk at the shops.

On the other hand, if there's a closeup of a character in a movie or TV, I will notice it there, like I cannot forget that two out of the three Durins in The Hobbit have blue eyes while the one they changed the hair colour on also ended up with a eye colour change (the book described Fíli and Kíli and both being blonde and blue-eyed).

Nnnnnope. I'd guess brown because I think she used to be a brunette, but I really have no idea. I never thought about it.

I notice super-striking eyes sometimes, like Frodo. Those were blue as fuck. But it's rare to see someone like that.
