For those who keep saying that they didn't see MM because 'It's not my kind of movie,' I beg you, GO SEE MM. I'm not a huge action flick kind of chick either, but holy shit, that movie impressed the hell out of me.

JW looks kind of meh to me though. I did enjoy the original Jurassic Park, but... I dunno man.

Oh! That means I should go see it then because we all know how hard YOU are to please! Thank you for bestowing on us your lovely endorsement

Calm down.

It definitely was not what I was expecting at all. A very pleasant surprise. The trailers and commercials really don't get it all across. So many people I've recommended it to said "Oh, I thought it just looked violent and horrible and I don't want to see that" and I can totally see how you'd get that from the commercials. I think the advertizing was stuck trying to market a non-traditional action movie as a traditional action movie and kind of failed to show the other ways the movie is appealing.

+1

MM is not my type of movie either, but it's surprisingly good in way that makes worthwhile seeing it.

If you don't like action movies, chances are you wouldn't like MM. I've described it to everyone who's asked as "exactly what it looks like inside a twelve year old boy's head".

I've seriously underestimated twelve year old boys, then. I didn't know they fantasized about sharp-shooting biker grannies so much.

It could definitely turn some people off if they don't like action - that's a very fair assessment - although it's not true across the board. Action movies really aren't my thing but I still loved it. (I do have some appreciation for action scenes, though, so it's not like I *hate* action movies and that probably helped, but I found the way the action was presented in Fury Road to be more appealing than a lot of action movies I've seen.)
