I can't tell apart blue from gray; light hazel from brownish-green; light brown from hazel, etc., unless I'm standing very close to the person or it's a close-up in a movie or a cartoon, but I can tell a general color otherwise. (This person is light-eyed, this person has brown eyes, this person has green eyes, etc.)
