I actually kinda like Alex for some reason lol. It may just be because I have a soft spot for laura prepon.
Eh I don't really think its a white vs black thing. It's more like every single character in the show is really likable and interesting, (aside from Healy and pornstache), annnnd then there's Piper.

I like Alex too. And I actually like Piper and Alex's dynamic together. Piper alone is really meh (I don't actively dislike her, she's just so easy to forget about) but with Alex she's a bit more interesting.

Yeah i used to feel the same way.
But how she completely treated Alex like shit in season 3 made my "meh" feelings about her go straight to "ew you're such a fucking asslord."
I mean she spends the ENTIRE season 2 whining and wishing Alex would come back, and even goes as far to trick her into going back to prison. But once she's there she completely discards her and cheats on her and fucks her all over again.
Like at this point she's gone from "upperclass white women being pushed into a dangerous surrounding that she's not comfortable in" to "curling-evil-mustache cartoon villain."
