I feel the same way about most 80s movies, most notably Overboard, which was a favorite of mine. I think it has less to do with social justice and activism sucking all the joy out of things that are "problematic" and more to do with call-out culture who will villify and shame you for liking anything problematic.

I used to be one of those people who thought you were a horrible person if you found ANYTHING redeemable about shows with rape/misogyny/etc. That helped me come to terms with why it's OK to have guilty pleasures.
