Also (maybe Tumblr introverts don't get this because they NEVER go out), I usually have a great time once I get there. I might be anxious leading up to it and exhausted afterwards, but it is usually worth it.

(Anonymous) 2015-06-24 12:04 am (UTC)(link)I know, for me, it can go both ways - there are times I can force myself to go and then have a great time, and there are times I force myself to go and I'm a nervous, miserable wreck. And I expect most people who are introverts (or have anxiety issues) are probably somewhere on that spectrum, and that not everyone is in that category where it's almost entirely anticipatory anxiety.
I do agree that it's very rude to just not show up to something - at the very least have the decency to let the person know (and give plenty of warning about it). You can't just ghost.

(The exception being actual mental health issues and the like.)
