I enjoyed this movie more than I expected to for the most part. It was fun and creative and had a good message to it.

However, I really, really, really hated Joy. She was so obnoxious and horrible to Sadness. She was like the combination of a bully with one of those people who is extremely happy all the time for no reason. I spent most of the movie wanting to punch her. So it was hard to completely enjoy the movie when the main character was so unlikeable.

Sure, she redeemed herself in the end. But that didn't make up for what she did earlier.

I've heard a lot about people thinking that lately. It makes me kind of nervous going in.

It is still a very good movie. The other characters are great. Riley is awesome, and Sadness, Anger, Fear, and Disgust are all awesome too. As well as a couple surprise characters. It is just Joy that I hated.

I didn't mind Joy, since Sadness was kind of an idiot just as much. "Something weird keeps happening to every memory I touch and we don't know yet if it's good or bad. Oh well, I'll just keep on putting my mitts on everything I can reach."

Presenting Riley's distress was also as subtle as a brick to the face. The main building blocks of her personality crumble, when she faces her first real crisis? A bit much.

See I read Sadness' actions as her instincts because they were what she was supposed to do. Joy was stopping her from doing her job. So when she thought about it she could stop, but when she stopped thinking her instincts would take over.

Yes, it wasn't very subtle, but I still enjoyed those parts.
