I would LOVE to see MCU Captain LAMErica end up being wrong about something. Not a "mistake he was misled into" or "he could have been right in this case because reasons" or some other Gary-Stu bullshit, but completely and unmistakeably WRONG.

I think it would be a GREAT parallel to how America and Cap's fanboys see themselves.

I would hate to see that. I would distinctly not enjoy it.

You mean wrong about how he was wrong about Tony? In the first Avengers? Do you remember that? It was a thing.

(Anonymous) 2015-06-24 11:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Hah. Except his fans will claim it was Loki's fault.

Avengers fans claim that everything that was wrong in that movie was Loki's fault. EVERYTHING.

I love how Iron Man 3 was basically Tony proving Cap wrong when he was a dick and asked him what he would be without his suit. He'd be a fucking genius who could take down an AIM compound with shit he bought at Home Depot.

lmao, lamerica...really? come on man

(Anonymous) 2015-06-24 11:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh my god I legitimately didn't even see that

Guh, spiteful nicknames like this seem so immature and annoying.

It reminds me of when some of my cousins made "Pothead" jokes about Harry Potter because their parents told them it was bad because of witchcraft.

Tony pls go.

(Anonymous) 2015-06-25 01:22 am (UTC)(link)
Er. The entire thing in Avenger's where he was wrong about what SHIELD was doing doesn't count? How he was wrong about Tony? Stuff like that? He wanted to prove Tony wrong. That's why he looked into it.
