I want to apologies in advance if there are terrible grammar mistakes I miss here. I'm on the old laptop my mom gave me while riding my exercise bike.

Honestly Harry/Hermione. I was just such a brother/sister relationship to me all the way through the books I could never see them as a romantic pair. The thing that really cemented it for me was how bored Harry was when he was fighting with Ron, and it was just him and Hermione hanging out together.

I totally get that. Although, I've actually never gotten brother/sister vibes from Harry and Hermione. My sister and I act more like Ron and Hermione.

Harry and Hermione actually remind me a lot of my parents. They were best friends for years, my mom was going to move to another country, and then my dad admitted he was falling in love with her and she stayed and they ended up married. Which is why I started shipping them because I could see the friendship developing into romance. So I totally get why other people wouldn't like them, but I could always see romance eventually developing.

I agree. I just found the pairing a snorefest. Also as much as Harry seemed to like Hermione as a friend, their are aspects of her that would drive him nuts if they were together.

Agreed. It was just the way Harry even thought that he was very glad Hermione was his friend, but that there was more studying when she was his bestie and more playing when Ron was, that just totally sank that ship for me before it ever got off the ground in my eyes.

I totally understand why it's popular but I don't ship it, for the same reason - it always felt very platonic/siblingy to me, whereas Ron/Hermione had more chemistry.

Same here, feels very sibling-y to me, too
