It's not the white male thing that bugs me, it's that it's Peter Parker.

I will never not be bugged by Peter Parker.

It's the way he treats women, right?

I admit I'm not too familiar with that as I don't really read Spiderman (because, well, duh) but I find him to be perpetually whiny and put-upon. Honestly I find Kyle Rayner to be a better Peter Parker than Peter Parker.

Peter once hit his wife a shitload harder then Hank Pym ever did and nobody even bothers mentioning it. Though to be fair nobody wants to remember the clone saga ever happened.

I mean this poor girl is getting some distance!

That's fine as long as you don't talk like he's an objectively unlikable character

That goes for other characters too, though.

Batman seems to be a popular example!

If you're thinking of that one comment above that was me and I was just giving you shit (in a friendly way)

Batman's fine. And even if I disliked him I wouldn't actually care if you did.

I'm a big Batman fan, it's how I got into comics in the first place. As far as A-list superheroes go he'll always be in my top 5.

But I like comic books, period, and I often find myself liking stories about B and C-listers (which is why Justice League International was such a delight.)
