Where are you that one blanket is good enough?

I'm in Germany. The room I sleep in doesn't usually get that much colder than 16-18°C (~60-64°F?) at nights in winter, and summers aren't that hot either (and if they are, I just get a thin blanket and ditch the feathers).
Downs/feathers are nice because they provide a very good insulation even with a thin layer.
We don't really have the sheets-and-duvet combination - simple sheets are pretty uncommon except for hotel beds.

And I agree. Feather down are really good! I think if I had one I wouldn't need the many layers I have right now ^^' but it is also 0-5 Celsius for be at night right now...

I think it's really interesting how different countries have such different types of beddings.
