You should probably do more than stay away from a ship. Like... talk to someone about how you become emotionally abusive and agressive towards people if they don't give you the attention you want, or something.

Does anyone else think that not sharing the pairing in secrets like this is a ploy for attention (like hoping people will come along and ask/beg for them to share)? Or is it just the rest of the content that makes me think that?

OP: I'm glad you realized you have been emotionally abusive. Please examine that and work on not being like that because - and I say this from experience - if you're the sort of person who is prone to do that you'll likely do it to someone else.

I think some people view it as a game, seeing what pairings/fandoms people come up with when given the vaguest of details. I don't mind it. And honestly, this is the kind of secret where it makes sense that the OP doesn't want to be specific.

Fair point. Maybe it's just that I've seen it so many times, and often with them leaving hints in the comments but never actually telling, and this time I was just "you know what? this is dumb"

but I was being unfair, it's not always like that and you're right, OP has good reason to keep it quiet.

Well, don't be hard on yourself; I get why you find it annoying. Especially if an OP is dropping hints in the comments. That's borderline obnoxious.

I've definitely been guilty of not naming my fandoms, but usually I use screencaps or scans that make it obvious to anyone who's familiar with it.
