Aw. I liked the new soundtrack, although you are right OP that it can't beat the original. While this movie was good, it wasn't quite as good as the original.

Secret text: I think this song (and this line in particular) sums up what love really is. I'd like to think that when I finally find someone I want to spend the rest of my life with, I'll be able to sing this to them and mean every word.

Secret because Poets of the Fall's lyrics generally sound good but actually make no sense if you stop and think about them. I probably shouldn't be investing this much meaning in them.

I love this guy and all but recently he said that the reason why he no longer describes the food on the show is that the descriptions end up sounding repetitive. Seriously? Too fucking bad, you giant, leathery manbaby! You have your dream job: you're paid to travel around the world wherever you want and eat whatever you want. Figuring out how to describe things non-repetitively is your job as a writer! If you don't feel like doing it, then you don't deserve the millions of dollars you earn to go on vacation.

But. Like. She's a Communications officer, so she's got to communicate. Ergo LINGUIST.

I don't mind her being a linguist academically because there will always be those races which the universal communicator does not work with (Darmok anyone?), but I don't think the writers really got that a communications officer doesn't really mean liguist.

I agree about Valinor fic. I like fluffy endings and it seems like the solution to a lot of Middle-earth's tragedies can be found in being reborn or journeying to Valinor.

I've loved Elrond/Celeborn since I first got into LOTR, and I've grown to really like Elrond/Celebrian too. I'd love to see more about them and their families settling into Valinor (especially the twins - I feel strongly that Celeborn would haul the twins to Valinor with him). And the politics of Valinor leave a lot of interesting stories to explore.

No interest in Galadriel though.

But isn't #3 it a matter of interpretation and inference anyhow? As I recall he wrote about feelings of intense shame over having been "beaten and humiliated," but imo that doesn't automatically mean he was sodomized.
