And the hardcore sexism didn't bother you?

Hardcore? Really? There was a bit that I found sexist and some stuff that could arguably be called sexist, but I wouldn't call it hardcore sexist. Really the only sexist thing was the characterization and that one scene between the two main characters at his trailer.

The only thing that bothered me was (what I felt) the overly gratuitous death of the assistant woman.

I do agree that the accusations of sexism feel a bit overblown. Its in the movie, but "hardcore" seems an exaggeration.

I didn't mind her death because she was the only non-military/trained death. She was the closest to a civilian death, and I felt the movie needed that so you could feel that anyone could die. I wish the pterodactyls had killed others too.

Its not that she died, its how long her death went on that bugged me? Like it just kept going on and she just kept being tossed around, and not even the male villains was that bad. Just my opinion though, and its not even what I usually see referenced when people accuse it of sexism.

Yeah, it kind of felt like it was suppose to be funny, and there was definitely some laughter in the theater both times I watched.

I got the exact opposite out of that scene. To me that moment was horrifying and added to the general atmosphere of danger.
