I had to laugh at this, but not because of you, Anon. The one and only fanfic I've written in this universe (even though it is the primary fandom I spend my time in) is an incredibly angsty one where Elrond is reunited with Celebrian in Valinor. Like, so much angst. For me, Elrond just can't be written without the angst. Seriously, he loses anyway he chooses.
