(Anonymous) 2015-06-27 08:51 pm (UTC)(link)What do you mean "Mashiro has XY chromosomes on their upper body and XX chromosomes on their lower body"? OK that makes them a genetic chimera but also a biological girl. Baby is born with a vagina, child has functional ovaries that take over at puberty and teenager doesn't keep their flat "male" chest long once the hormones start pumping, end of story. There is no single reason not to have assigned them female at birth and to try and raise them as a boy instead. Unless their parents only wanted a boy, were fucked up in the head and tried to have her replace her dead brother, but the birth certificate would still list Mashiro as female and nothing would ever hint at the intersex thing, period.
And no, the fact that the world this mistake happened was a dreamscape does not make it OK in any way at all.
