I know there's a sequel coming out, but it's not out yet, so Blade Runner. I'm not sure how I came upon it; back in my early internaut days it was just one of those things that got listed a lot with other vintage sci-fi. I remember I rented it with my dad once and I liked it but it was bright and sunny outside and my dad is a moron who never shuts up so I couldn't really enjoy the movie like you're supposed to.

Years later I was in college and ended up having to watch the movie for a film class. That sorta kickstarted a minor obsession with the film that only grew intensity as time went by. It ended up converging with my changing music tastes and what draws my eye aesthetically (I love night photography, neon lights, organic architecture, etc.) and it's pretty much my favorite movie at this point. But so few people my age have seen it now, and even fewer actually like it. :(
