Nah, I suspect A LOT of people feel the same way. Certainly the people I know irl who loved the original series aren't interested in the newer stuff. Most of them didn't even watch the movies past the first few.

Really light, fluffy things like Jurassic Park can go on indefinitely without losing much of their charm, because their charm IS being silly and overdone. But something like Harry Potter relies on it's sense of magic and wonder, and constantly rehashing it like this just highlights any problems in the material.
