I don't want to see Fantastical Beasts. I don't want to know what's on Pottermore. I don't care about Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. I just want her to leave canon alone. Is that too much to ask?

I don't get this. Fandom was always complaining that she limited so much to Harry. Now she's not and they want her to go away.

I groan a bit every time JKR comes up with something "new" about that universe because it just feels like geez, enough lady...

Nah, I suspect A LOT of people feel the same way. Certainly the people I know irl who loved the original series aren't interested in the newer stuff. Most of them didn't even watch the movies past the first few.

Really light, fluffy things like Jurassic Park can go on indefinitely without losing much of their charm, because their charm IS being silly and overdone. But something like Harry Potter relies on it's sense of magic and wonder, and constantly rehashing it like this just highlights any problems in the material.

not saying that i believe james was a completely upstanding and polite gentlemann but, tbf, if anyone in that series deserved a generous helping of dickery, then it's probably those two

Wait, what? "In canon, but not in continuity?" So like...what? Another cursed child? That isn't related to Harry? How many cursed children are there? Cause otherwise...it'd be neat if it were a tale of Voldemort, far more fleshed out, but that'd be part of the continuity....IDGI.
