I don't really know how common it is, but it certainly happens. Any kind of super nasty comments or overt hate turns me off (anon, named, whatever) but sure, it's possible to follow users around and harass them. (It's not as easy with anons because you can never fully know who you're talking to...you can suspect, but you might be wrong. Still, people can be dicks when it isn't warranted and I don't blame anyone for wanting to be anon to avoid that kind of attention.)

I've never felt harassed but I've had a few rude remarks before. If you stick around long enough it's pretty much bound to happen. *shrugs*
