Uh...Shrek 3 was weak, Antz wasn't that memorable nor that good, neither was Chicken Run. Shark Tale...eugh, Madagascar, same thing. Never was interested in Wallace and Gromit. Over the Hedge was bad, Flushed Away I never saw, but heard was mediocre. Bee Movie is universally panned, same with the Madagascar films to varying degrees. Monster vs. Aliens was ok. Puss in Boots never saw. Rise of the Guardians was boasted bigger than it actually was. The story was kind of weak, if a fun film, but ultimately, not that memorable. Turbo looked bad, The Croods was actually decent, if a bit weaksauce. Mr. Peabody and Sherman wasn't interesting to me, so I never saw it. And I honestly haven't heard much about Home, despite Tumblr's DEMANDS for people to go see it.

The only decent films I actually liked of theirs were the 2D animated films, Shreks 1, 2, and 4, the Kung Fu panda films, the HTTYD films, Megamind aaaaaand that's it.

Where as far as Pixar is concerned, I've liked most of their films and feel they were all pretty strong, even the weak ones, though there are a few I haven't seen.

Dreamworks may have more films than Pixar, but their quality is all over the place and more times than not, the quality is on the weakside of the spectrum. Pixar has teh strong films.

lmao of course they did.

Not all of those movies are Dreamworks. You've got some Aardman in there.

Yes they are. They are listed under Dreamworks, go look it up.

I thought Dreamworks was just the distributor.

Nope. They are the animation company.

(Anonymous) 2015-07-03 01:44 am (UTC)(link)
Nope, Aardman Animations have a distinctive style that involves claymation and I doubt they'd just hand that over. Also wiki says you're wrong.

(Anonymous) 2015-07-03 02:54 am (UTC)(link)
Could you elaborate...?

(Anonymous) 2015-07-03 02:31 am (UTC)(link)
+1

Aardman and Dreamworks films are not one and the same just like Pixar and Disney are still two distinct companies.

Also shame on anyone who thinks Chicken Run isn't the shit. I love that movie.

The pie maker machine was awesomesauce.
Funny, too.

That movie was crap. Sry.

(Anonymous) 2015-07-03 08:58 pm (UTC)(link)
And your taste is in your mouth. Sry.

[personal profile] otakugal15 2015-07-04 12:05 am (UTC)(link)
Of course taste is in my mouth. As an insukt, this makes no sense. So yes, that movie was shit. Sry2Say.

(Anonymous) 2015-07-05 04:20 am (UTC)(link)
It makes perfect sense: it means that the only sense of taste you have is in your mouth. So yes, it seems you really do need a lot of things explained to you that others find obvious. Sry2Say.

Uh, no. That is a poor insult and you know it. Sry2Say. Cunt.

(Anonymous) 2015-07-06 02:03 am (UTC)(link)
It's long since been established that you need a lot of things explained to you that are fairly self-explanatory to most other folks. That's okay; it takes all kinds of folks to make a world.

Yeah, no. Not in this case. Sry2Say

They don't really make those hammy, pop culture filled films anymore. It's down to like one out of their (now) two a year, and even then it's more stupid gags (Though one of the running jokes in Penguins is probably the highlight of the film and the only reason one should watch it).

I appreciate Home for what it tried to do and what it did with their protagonist, but I'll admit that it's really not very good.

(Anonymous) 2015-07-03 10:41 am (UTC)(link)
I appear to be in the minority but I liked Turbo.
Samuel L Jackson as a snail, with a jet pack, riding a crow.

Did Home come out yet...?

[personal profile] otakugal15 2015-07-03 06:53 pm (UTC)(link)
I think so. I just...haven't seen anything about it. Which is a shame, cause I do wanna see it. But it's like...there were adverts for it and Tumblr was butt mad about people needing to see it, but since then it's been...pretty non-existent.

(Anonymous) 2015-07-03 08:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes. It came and went.
