I like maybe three songs of Springsteen's and like a lot more of Huey Lewis's, but I think this is a weird comparison to make.

Yeah, Springsteen never clicked for me, though I have enjoyed a few songs of his as covers, and I am old enough to have enjoyed some Huey Lewis songs, but this is not a great comparison.
