They'll scream all day about how awful the ship is and if you ship it you're literally "romanticizing abuse" or some other bullcrap. But the second you mention to be an abuse survivor, they'll automatically let you off the hook because apparently it's only okay to ship "abusive" ships if you've been through abuse yourselF. @_@
Like wtf ew. Try to wrap your head around that.
I've also had a few artists I follow make side japis art blogs just so they wouldn't have to expose their art to anyone who didn't want to see it, and were generally pretty respectful about it. And yet they still somehow got a crapload of hate mail and some artists even ended up deleting their accounts. But considering lapis is the like the biggest notp in the whole fandom, barley anybody cares or notices lol.
