The more I'm thinking about what you're writing, the more it's actually coming across as kinda sexist.

You're basically looking at female characters as nothing more than tropes or tabs to fit into slots. "We already have a female on the side of good! It doesn't make sense to have another one!" Where are your complaints about all of the good male characters? Aren't they redundant? I mean, there's a whole shit-ton of them. Shouldn't we only have one, maybe two?

Not really...

It's more that I'm kind of annoyed how ALL MCU female characters are good.

Plus, note the example I used below of how storyline-wise, the man-wanting-to-follow-in-his-noble-dead-father's-footsteps is one I am sick of because, regardless of how well it's done, it's been done SO MUCH before.

Like Nebula?

Yes, there could always be more female villains, and she didn't have a lot to do in her movie, but she exists.

And not for nothing, but Gamora started out on the villian side of the ledger too in Guardians of the Galaxy.

Not OP

The other characters aren't as redundant because they all have a different power set. The ones that are similar (like Tony and Rhodey) have very different personalities and roles. Honestly I don't know much about Sharon in the comics, but so far in the movies, all we know about her is she's tough, she stands up for what's right, and she's a good shot. Natasha thinks she's nice. So far, there's nothing in her skill set or personality that sets her apart.

We can assume (hope?) that Civil War is going to develop her as a character and give her interesting things to do, but until then, at least Sharon as HYDRA is a creative angle to explore.

Though it's not true that MCU doesn't have female villains, AoS has had a few (Jiaying, Raina, Lorelei, Kara). Maya was sort of bad in IM3. If we're going to have a female villain in the movies, I hope she's of the Big Bad variety. Not that I know enough about the comics to suggest.
