Re: Do you ever enjoy ship wars?

I really love ship wars when it gives me a chance to argue -- there's nothing I love more than dissecting someone's thoughts and then having them turn around and do the same thing to me and we go back and forth on it.

It's fun for me to break down other people's reasoning and have my own broken down. I don't mind when people insult me either.

Lately it's not as fun, though, because ship wars keep getting social justice tied into them. And while I don't mind if people call me a moron whose opinion is plainly WRONG (I tend to find this pretty funny, to be honest), I don't take kindly to being called a misogynist, a racist, a homophobe, etc.

I mean, if I've said something that's bigoted, point it out to me - quote the part of my post back at me that's bigoted. But it NEVER happens that way -- it's just "You're such a _______ for criticizing this ship!"
