Whatever happened to being surprised/shocked by reading something anyway.

That was back then. Now, we all should know everything about a book before reading it. Because reasons.

spoilers- the titanic sinks

I'm sorry you're so spoiler-sensitive that saying "thing happens" ruins it for you. Do you also whine at people for saying Titanic sinks?

Content warnings as the media generally handles it are fine ("warnings for drug use, sexual themes, blah blah") but fandom sure is taking things to a whole new level with things like, warning for water, fire, eye contact and all that.

Still happens, just not in the same way.

Like "someone is murdered". Okay, but that says nothing about the build up (which - yay! - can get more nerve-racking if you know something bad will happen), who the victim is, who the murderer is, significance to the rest of the plot, the other character's reactions, and so on and so forth...

Sure, some stories are better if you go into them unspoiled, but if the spoiler's the only thing it has going for it then it's not a very good story in the first place.

You. Yes, you.
Read about Alternian Troll titles for movies. You will die laughing.

Already way ahead of you. Really, you have to wonder what their movie posters look like. Where is there even space for artwork and credits?

SA

Wow, no wonder Karkat Vantas gets hoarse every day.
I mean, you can see approximations of movie posters on the walls of his respite block, and they do have artwork, but I have no idea where the credits are. The bottommost part of the posters, maybe?

SA again.

Or maybe they are considered an intrinsic part of the title itself by mainstream Alternian graphic arts standards.

( Eek. I'm now wondering is there such a thing as Alternian Lorem Ipsum. Probably. Those trolls have to layout those posters somehow. )
