Eh, even though big fandoms tend to have the most drama, I still prefer big fandoms over small fandoms. Mostly because in big fandoms, it never feels lonley or boring and there's always fanart and fic and fan theories or whatever costanly coming out and it's easy to find people who care about the same things that you do.
Also fandom drama (when you're not involved) is kinda weirdly entertaining, at least for me.

IA.

Well, not sure if I completely agree about fandom drama being entertaining (It can be if it isn't the cruel, unpleasant kind, but it often is that kind), but since most of my participation in fandom boils down to reading fanfic, reblogging gifs and talking about the media with other people...the bigger the fandom the better. Sure there can be lots of wank, but for me it's usually easily avoided. Again, with bigger fandoms there's going to be more fic, and while not all of that fic might be good fic, I prefer having more options.

Plus, yea, it really sucks when you have the urge to talk about something but no one even knows what it is. (Or if they do, don't care about it.)

yeah same. plus with the amount of stuff coming out of a big fandom it's easier to ignore the drama because there's something else to do.

when there's drama in smaller fandoms, everyone knows what's going down and who's who.

Big fandom doesn't always mean you're never alone. It's possible feel lost or disconnected in a big fandom, especially if you don't agree with popular headcanons or you don't ship the fandoms big ships.

I agree big fandom is good for lots of fic/art/discussion, but my past two fandoms have been huge and are just full of people constantly arguing and trashing each other. I hate the character that is fandoms favorite and have to deal with constant woobification of said character.

I hate small fandoms too. Less drama, but no content or not a lot of people to discuss stuff with.

I just wish there was a well behaved huge fandom. But that is probably asking too much.

I agree.
