John Hughes movies, especially "The Breakfast Club." I was in high school when I first watched it and I just did not get why my friends all loved it. Maybe I needed to spend more time in detention.

I'm pretty much convinced that the only reason it's so popular is because it's one of the first movies to have a "nerdy" girl transform into a hottie (aka girlfriend material)
