The Labyrinth.

I was born into the generation loves some 80's banana hammock, but weighted crotches aside, there's absolutely nothing of value or interest in the movie for me.

I've been made to watch it by two of my friends, one of them several times because she just doesn't understand how I can't find interest in the movie. Thanks, no thanks, keep your tights and scene chewing 'goblin' king.

Jungian symbolism, and a deeply personal and psychological journey for a girl character ending in empowering agency reclaimed and chosen over glittery lies of romance. Incredible visual trickery and creature creations and pretty credible puppet/human interaction. Wide-open ending with plenty of fanfic sequel hooks. :)

Like, I know the point here is just breast-baring of personal peeves and you've no desire to be convinced. Sorry. BUt I flove the Laby fandom.

You and your fandom are part of the reason I don't like the movie either, you know.

Accept that people don't like your chosen favorite and move on. I need to tell this to one of the two friends I mentioned as well. You like it? Fine. I don't. Let it go.

I apologize. I missed the "for me" qualifier in your sentence on value&interest, and got defensive of my primary fandom.
I really do get how obnxious stanning can get one's hackles up, so, my bad.
