I guess I'm odd in that I barely even look at tags anymore. People write all kinds of rambly shit in those so I always assume the worst and just ignore them.

I mean, obviously the ship tags are important, but other than those...

If the fic sounds good and is good, I'll read it. Even if the tags are silly or overdone.

Yup. I will search for specific pairing, character, or kink tags but otherwise I try to ignore them.

Same, some tags get utterly ridiculous on Ao3 I'll grant but I've just taken to ignoring them, reading the summary and giving the fic a go or not based on that.
