oh no, you get to play as emily, fighting to get her own empire back! she's featured front and center in all the promotional materials (looking at you, bioware), even when there's a liked, established male character, who, actually, is nowhere to be seen! how horrible!

It's a fairly common compliant - NAYRT btw - that they only have a male protag option because they don't have the guts to make the game focus entirely on Emily.

I think that is such a dumb complaint. It's really reaching for something to be upset about.

She's the default character, she's in all of the promotional materials, she's the action figure. Having an optional male protag -- who's not just some random dude, but the well-liked character from the first game -- doesn't erase any of that.
