As a bi person, shut up. Excusing the common and gross fantasy of 'turning' a lesbian (which really seems to be more of a way to get a character who's sexual but a virgin at the same time since most of these people only count penis-sex as 'real' sex.) as "Well, she could be bi!" is just gross.

That's not what bisexuality is about at all, it does not represent it, and it's not cool that it's used to excuse that.

But she is literally bi. I wish you people would stop mindlessly parroting the bullshit some idiot made up instead of thinking for yourself/doing your own research. The character is bi. There's no way around it.

As another bi person, I get that there's this fantasy (there's a "turning gay men straight"-fantasy, too), but really, in my personal experience, preferring girls but then ending up with a guy long term is something that happens for real. I never knew I was attracted to guys before I met my husband, and I had a hard time coping with it because I wasn't sure if it wasn't just his androgyny (I took him for an FTM 1st time I met him) that made him attractive to me.

It does happen. But I think there's a pretty big difference between something that would be a character coming to terms with their own bisexuality from their POV.

And playing a character, who's the main character, who's response to hearing that a character is a lesbian is to go "I can fix it!"

Lots of things happen in reality that don't always make for good storytelling. I don't think "Lesbian who's willing to sleep with main character because he's somehow special" is very good bi representation.

It's been discussed a lot lately, but it's like a rape fantasy. Rape fantasies are healthy and common to have. But showing your main dude raping a woman into loving him in a video game and presenting it as 'well, it probably wasn't bad for her, lots of women secretly have rape fantasies' would be horrible!
