As another bi person, I get that there's this fantasy (there's a "turning gay men straight"-fantasy, too), but really, in my personal experience, preferring girls but then ending up with a guy long term is something that happens for real. I never knew I was attracted to guys before I met my husband, and I had a hard time coping with it because I wasn't sure if it wasn't just his androgyny (I took him for an FTM 1st time I met him) that made him attractive to me.

It does happen. But I think there's a pretty big difference between something that would be a character coming to terms with their own bisexuality from their POV.

And playing a character, who's the main character, who's response to hearing that a character is a lesbian is to go "I can fix it!"

Lots of things happen in reality that don't always make for good storytelling. I don't think "Lesbian who's willing to sleep with main character because he's somehow special" is very good bi representation.

It's been discussed a lot lately, but it's like a rape fantasy. Rape fantasies are healthy and common to have. But showing your main dude raping a woman into loving him in a video game and presenting it as 'well, it probably wasn't bad for her, lots of women secretly have rape fantasies' would be horrible!
