3. I hate the revival with a passion! Well, not hate, but I'm just not a fan of it...hardcore. Though Angela Lansbury makes me cringe and LOL at the same time, I can only stand Patti LuPone for minutes at a time.

I hate the revival too. It's just... no. Playing instruments on stage = Too Pretentious, okay.
And Patti LuPone sounds too... nice to be Lovett. Which is kind of funny, considering I adore Lansbury over everyone. She's freaking Mrs. Potts...!

Yeah, I feel so bad for feeling so, but the instruments just cannot match the greatness that is the orchestra, which is why I just have to listen to the movie and OBC sometimes. Patti is just... I find her voice very annoying. I do not know why either! Lansbury is sooo cracky. She makes me laugh. I don't really like one Lovett over the other, but each one in their own ways in certain songs, if that makes sense. :D;

I am usually a sort-of-almost-theatre snob, but I prefer the movie over either of those versions. I just like the portrayl of the characters better (even though I like stage!Anthony and Johanna, just not Lovett or not even stage!Sweeney that much.) I liked Mrs Lovett's portrayl in the movie better because it makes her more likable. And Helena's voice doesn't get on my nerves like Angela's or Patti's does.
