No, actually. There are plenty of people who like women who are nice and full figured. Not to say Selma Hayek doesn't have a great pair, but I prefer Crystal (http://www.judgmentofparis.com/cr/crystal59.jpg) Renn (http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y51/sirenfoto/Crystal53.jpg) to Selma Hayek (http://studentweb.hunter.cuny.edu/students/jladino/Selma%20Hayek.jpeg) any day. Both of them are gorgeous, but Crystal's got some meat you can really grab onto. And even then, as a good friend of mine pointed out, Crystal's still a little skinny. (I actually prefer Christina Schmidt (http://www.judgmentofparis.com/cs/christina81.jpg) to both of them, but she doesn't get photographed nude much, more's the pity.)

Kirstie Alley, I dislike mostly because I think she's a bimbo.

That said, women are supposed to wobble. Women, in fact, are supposed to have layers of subcutaneous fat. That's what gives women curves and softness. Society's standards of beauty is skeletally thin right now (as someone mentioned, Marilyn Monroe-- who is a fashion icon-- would be considered "too fat" by today's standards. She was a size 14.) And what's your standard of "obese" anyway? Because if it's Kirstie Alley, your standards are fucked up beyond repair.

The number of really supportive comments on this post are heartening (considering how many secrets I can think of where someone posts a picture of an impossibly thin anime girl with the caption "I'm anorexic because I want to look like her" or some such). But the idea that someone honestly believes that society's beauty standards are not fucked right in the head makes me twinge big time.

It's enough to make me want to spam my flist with pictures of hot fat chicks.

Oh DEFINITELY. Beauty comes in all shapes and sizes. ; 3 ; I mean, everyone's entitled to their preferences, but it's so wrong that some people think it's a crime to look womanly.
