38. Honestly, I love Xavin and Karolinas relationship, only because yeah its not perfect. Well, relationships aren't perfect. The thing is that she didn't love Xavin. She HAD to marry Xavin, so Xavin changed himself for her. I feel like she is starting to fall for him with him because of who he is, and the body just helps, but she's only starting. It's not a perfect fairy tale. The thing is, after that chapter, I really hoped that Xavin would STAY a girl (as it thats how it seemed it would be going). I was disappointed.

I feel like Whedon's sort of forgotten Xavin's gender issues, and his and karolina's relationship issues in general.

And that's the only part of that that really bothers me. Like I said, disappointed that he didn't stay a girl.

Xavin really does seem to like swapping back and forth, which clearly bothers Karolina who, I guess, is pretty strictly a lesbian. Poor kids. (Not getting into the fact that Molly stated that the genderswapping was bothering everyone...)

Xavin's not really my favorite character, but I sympathize with the gender issues, and people trying to pigeonhole hir into one sex irritate me to no end.

Honestly, I think I would like Xavin more if he'd just stayed a girl. The more he keeps switching back and forth, the more it complicates his/her relationship with Karolina, and the more I dislike him. I have a far greater love for Karolina than I do Xavin, so I'm always thinking about her first. And like I said, if Xavin would just stay a girl, I think everyone would like him/her as a character a lot more. Needless to say, I don't think that Karolina/Xavin could ever work in the long run, so I'm hoping Xavin becomes a more interesting character when he/she finally becomes something other than an accessory to Karolina.

That was sort of long and only semi-coherent I fear, so I apologize if I didn't make a whole lot of sense. It's been a long day. :/

Like I said, I completely agree that Xavin would have been better if he stayed a girl. *sigh*
