I'm a little perplexed as to why that one hasn't gotten the full orchestral treatment, as well. The piece sounds like it's striving to do just so much that you cannot pull off on the SNES.

But it IS a 17 minute final boss theme and if you're going to pick a piece that runs into the double digits of runtime and is also from FFVI? The Maria and Draco Opera is more likely to please the crowd.

And I'm just going to guess that it's much easier to run into a studio and record on electric guitars, etcetera than putting together an orchestral album/concert.
