Eh, most shows in general don't appeal to me, but it's so easy to pick up on basic info from fandom osmosis and Entertainment Weekly that I've never felt out of place about it. I'm kind of in awe of people who watch like 20+ current shows while I'm over here with my three, lol. There are so many shows. I hardly ever get interested enough in series' story/characters to try a new one, and even then, it takes a lot to get me to stick with it through however many seasons they end up doing. And then there's always a ton of wank about how season 1 or 2 or whatever the fuck happened eleventy years ago was better and nothing should ever change no matter what, which makes TV fandom endlessly boring and annoying for me. I have a much better time with movies.
