He's always been like this to me, I have no idea why.

That sucks. Was it just house sitting or was it babysitting too?

I'm not really good with toddlers either, I get mentally exhausted watching her and she doesn't really do much. It's pretty much the reason why I don't want kids of my own.

Oh it was babysitting. Twin boys. At the time they were 4, and very fussy about food, had toilet issues, and the energy of caffeinated squirrels. Plus they both have anxiety problems because their parents leave with no notice so often and it's hard on them, so they have nightmares and they cry and throw tantrums a lot. It's full on. I didn't have siblings growing up either so idk wtf to do with kids. I am always making it up as I go.

I don't want kids either. I love the boys and I have a godson but I'd rather just buy them cool stuff on their birthdays and hear about their soccer games and stuff and not be there 24/7.

There have been times when my aunt has threatened to run off to Europe and leave the kids here. She's just one of those people who is so self-absorbed we never expected her to have kids, but she had a midlife crisis or something. I guess she thought they'd have a live-in nanny until they were high school age, but her husband refuses to pay for one unless she gets a real job.

Some people have kids without really considering that they will have to change their lifestyle, and they end up feeling so inconvenienced and overwhelmed that they feel that other people should be forced to feel the same. It's some kind of weird denial that they are directly responsible for another human being existing. I certainly didn't choose for you to have kids, so no, they are not my responsibility.
