The character has something to do with yellow and uh, bugs?

I'm guessing it's Transformers (Bumblebee transforms into a yellow volkswagen)

Seems almost 100% likely that it's Transformers. (Though 'transformed' is a better description. The only currently active Bumblebee in any of the fiction turns into a fictional musclecar...the one in the other active fictional universe is dead (though he did, at one point, turn into a Beetle).)
