Yup.

My least favourite part was the kiss. Can't say it was a surprise, because cliche story telling, but it lacked suitable build up and was just annoying and unnecessary.

Seriously.
"Oh god I almost just fucking died from being eaten by a dinosaur! Let me make out with you, man I've bickered and argued with this entire time and have little chemistry with, in front of all of these screaming people and dinosaurs that still want to kill us!!"

The worst part is, I've known serval people (even on here) who actually like that scene and even defended it. Ughfh.

They have a mostly unexplained romantic history, though. For me that sort of sidestepped any need for gradual development. I don't want to admit that I have head-canons for this movie but I can easily imagine they had the one date that *almost* went just fine and that wasn't even their first kiss. But yeah, the tone and the timing of it was the type of thing that looks embarrassing compared to the first film.
