If you're currently undergoing a fairly intense period of stress, more than you're used to, or just coming at a bad time generally, some mild hysteria/laughing fits/crying fits/occasional zoning are all things that can happen, and they're pretty normal. If they start getting out of control, though, happening very regularly or intensely, or beginning to frighten you, then I'd go to a doctor. On their own, they just happen when you're particularly over-tired, but if they become regular it's usually a sign you're heading more deeply off-kilter.
