You clearly were in very select parts of reddit then.

I mean fuck, the ex-CEO started cutting whole sections for a reason.

Has she bailed now? I can't say I am surprised.

She was let go for 'vision differences', about two weeks ago.

No, the misogynists drove her out.

She tried to put an ad based platform on top of the existing structure which was unpopular, and then she was involved in letting go a female talent coordinator who was universally adored. (From what I read.) There was a fair amount of vitrol, granted, but she was let go for her lack of understanding of the business she was charged with operating.

Funny thing about the latter part: after Pao left, her boss quietly admitted responsibility for firing the coordinator. Then the chief engineer quit and said she thought Pao was set up as a scapegoat. Now folks are mad at the boss.

She was trolled pretty hard too though. I mean, I don't think it's that simple, she did do some things I disagree with that had nothing to do with deleting things like that pro-rape board, but that was a very noticeable part of it.

That platform was fucking awful looking though. All those signatures weren't misogynists either.

I think it was a little of A and B. People had legitimate complaints, but misogyny/racism fueled the fire for it to get as bad as it did. I think if she were a dude people would have disagreed with her, but there wouldn't have been such a dogpiling ragefest. It was really blown out of proportion to what she did as CEO.
