I agree. Say something a bit SJW sounding, or something non-PC, or submit a secret about doing something not totally kosher, and you'll usually get bombarded with judgy comments here. (To be fair, a lot of places on the internet are like that too, not just fs. But fs isn't an exception.)

Huh, interesting. I tend to find F!S more on the reasonable side of things. People seem pretty feminist (if not radical), and as for getting worked up over shipping - this is a fandom community. Doesn't it make sense to get worked up over that? Personally I find shipping wank and stuff when it shows up here to be a lot more fun that 'srs bizns' type wank.

F!s isn't perfect and can get judgemental but it's not the worst place I've been online, just like any other website it's got it's good and bad parts.

That's funny, because part of the reason I've stuck around is it's less judgmental here than a lot of other places I've been. Not that it's free of judgment, because it is, and there's some major asshats here. But it's more pleasant here than many other forums.

Also the only real "ship war" type thing I've seen here was Makorra vs Korrasami, and that all was pretty par for the course type stuff. You get the exact same butthurt over on tumblr, except at least here, you won't have people reblogging your posts so they can tell all their followers to GO TELL THAT PERSON HOW BAD AND WRONG THEY ARE FOR LIKING THIS SHIP, and then have your ask box blown up with people calling you scum.

I can never get over how lucky I've been. I was expecting things to be similar to what you're saying when I de-anoned, thinking that I'd come across as a whiny SJW (and there are some people who think so, though some of the people who have admitted it have seemed almost apologetic about saying so), but mostly I get people agreeing with me or respectfully disagreeing.

This place isn't as progressive as some users claim either.
I remember a few months ago, someone made a secret about being upset when the only gay character in a tv show is killed off, and almost half of the comments were really irrationally angry stright people telling lgbt people to get over it and to shut the fuck up and to stop crying.
