Seriously, this place is pretty even, most of the time, now that the strident SJWs have blown the coop.

I missed that. But then, I don't hang about page 2. But the internet isn't a 'safe space'. People have to proceed with caution.

I don't like the idea of "safe space" because it's code for "echo chamber." But I also don't like how, whenever there's really atrocious behavior going on, someone says "well, this isn't a safe space." It's an excuse to be a dick is what it is.

This makes sense to me. Some measure of civility needs to be maintained. Rather than a purely safe space, it should be a safer space -- a place where you don't have to deal with shitheads but you should expect the occasional challenging viewpoint or expression in a respectful environment.

Not by the "normal" crowd. By the stalker crowds. We have trolls, probably OP included, that seem to put a lot of effort into trying to make this place miserable. Occasionally they succeed in bullying a user off the community. But the non-troll, normal crowd is extremely tame.

I had a mild stalker back when I was a named user. It only followed me around for a month or two. Good times. It's one of the reasons I stay anon now.
