People who use the word "Narrative" when not talking about things like books or stories. You're a fucking conspiracy nut prick.

I'm not sure I understand the logic here.

You mean in a journalistic sense, or just in a propaganda sense?

Considering reporters and pundits use that term themselves for what they do, I think it's worth paying some attention to the thinking behind it. Sometimes narratives are imposed.

Probably stupid but sometimes when people/fans use "REKT" to celebrate someone just being an asshole to someone with little reason. Like I can get it for a person slamming someone who deserves it. But people just celebrating any "telling off" with "REKT" whether it's deserved or not...sometimes comes off as celebrating asshole behavior.

*scene with someone driving someone to tears* "WOO REKT" "or...they're just being a jerk."

So I saw the new trailer for EQG and I was unnerved how badly Human!Twi's classmates seemed to treat her. I don't mean to come across as the "think of the children" type but It kind of worries me that kids who see that behavior will imitate it because the characters appear to be the "cool kids". IDK

When someone says something like, "We need to talk." to you on FB or text. And when you go, "Yeah?" or "What's going on?" AND THEN THEY DON'T RESPOND FOR LIKE 2 HOURS. I always think something really bad has happened.

or when you're having an argument or other really bad interaction, and then they just shut you out and don't talk to you for like two days

I'm not usually prone to anxiety; that's one of the only things that can drive me to it

I get that people need their space but I wish they'd say "I need space, I'll get back to you". Because if they don't I'm always afraid they're never going to talk to me again. (And yes, that particular outcome has happened. So that doesn't help.)

but yeah anyway tl;dr ominous words/behavior + lack of communication = bad times

People who suddenly shut down and refuse to talk are THE WORST. I fucking hate silent treatment. Be angry, but communicate about your anger ffs.

I definitely get where you're coming from.

I also think that when people say stuff like that it's not always for that reason. I would say something like that simply to correct an apparent misconception (though I think I'd also qualify it by saying that "hairy-legged lesbian" isn't an insult and the fact that the person I'm talking to thought it was is in fact why we still need feminism, trite as it sounds)

People who write negative reviews just to tell you they hate the ship you wrote and think you should go back to writing the other ship. Sorry I wrote your NOTP. Except, no I'm not. This is the second time this has happened. I like both ships. I write both ships. Get over it.

that's so dumb. there are definitely ships I'd never want to read but I can't imagine just going to them to write bad reviews for...no reason. I simply won't waste my time at all.

This is entirely my fault, but I'm annoyed that I binged on Kingsman fic and now there's not anything else to read. I've been reading it for a little over a month now, and I've been through all the fics on AO3 several times over. (Meaning I've read a few multiple times, and passed over others multiple times because I either didn't like them or they didn't sound appealing to me.)

So now I'm sitting here impatiently waiting for updates. (Which I realize take time so I can't truly complain, but omg I shouldn't have been so enthusiastic.)

...Another little thing, I put too much cayenne pepper in my tomato soup and now my mouth is burning.

People who over identify with a character to the point that they're internet hostile when they feel said chatacters had been wronged either in the source or thr fandom.

Or the special 'kin' folk on Tumblr who get hostile if someone else dares to identify with the same character they do.

kin people creep me out just a little bit tbh.

They actually name themselves? That's rather self-aware for fanaticism.

When you just KNOW a writer is trying to 'stick it to high school' in their writing and characters.

The fact that in movies and TV no one ever seems to lock their front door when they come in, and no one ever seems to say goodbye on the phone. They just hang up! And I hate not being able to ignore it, it's so distracting.

When people consistently call female characters "ladies."

How angry and warlike people get in fandom. Wish it were more of a love and be loved kind of thing, but you know...people. bleh.
